Atlantic gearing Up!

The next week will see high pressure slowly sinking south and east allowing wind and rain to move into the north west.

Central areas and the south East quadrant will stay dry for most of the week, it will become increasingly cloudy though with temperatures slowly rising to average values for the time of year.

The north west however will become increasingly windy by Tuesday with heavy rain moving in from the Atlantic. This pattern repeating itself again on Thursday. By the weekend further rain will push in from the west, this will push through the country introducing a spell of mild southwesterly winds .

The outlook from the weekend onwards is wet and windy as fast moving areas of low pressure move west to east.
