Mostly unsettled but high pressure dominating by next weekend.
The week starts off on a fairly stormy note especially for the north as a period of wet and very windy weather sweeps in from the Atlantic. Severe gales likely for Northern areas.
Tuesday will be a quiet day as high pressure briefly builds bringing light winds and sunshine for all.
Wednesday and Thursday sees further Atlantic fronts move west to east introducing bands of rain, sunshine and showers in their wake.
High pressure takes charge from Friday, initially centred over the UK and then to the north east, so by the weekend we import a dry continental flow with plenty of sunshine especially for central and western areas.
Temperatures mostly around average but frosts returning later in the week.
