Re: UKWW Weekly Forecast Autumn/Winter 2015/16
During the next 10 days we will in a very changeable pattern, often windy with a wide variation on temperatures from day to day.
After a windy but mainly dry Sunday further fronts will move in from the west on a gale-force southwesterly. Temperatures above average.
By Tuesday a cold front will move south and clear the UK introducing a westerly airstream, this will be accompanied by unusually low upper air temperatures for a westerly giving snow showers to a wide swaythe of the country on high ground and a wintry mix to low levels...lying snow could cause some disruption for the first time this winter for the northern half of the country.
By Wednesday the winds swing back to south of westerly, temperatures recover and the next system moves in from the south west, the current track of this is for the center of the low to head through central Scotland so by Thursday heavy rain and severe gales will effect all parts from northern England south.
The end of the week and into the weekend sees it turning colder again with further snow showers in the north and a wintry mix in the south.
