3rd December 2017
Wet, windy and then Colder.
The week will start off cloudy, damp and less cold than it has been recently. By Wednesday a deep area of low pressure is set to track through the heart of the country. Southwesterly winds will strengthen to gale force in some areas as heavy, persistent rain moves in.
During Thursday the rain will retreat south with much colder air following on from the north. The end of the week will be dominated by a showery, strong northerly wind giving a mixture of sunshine and frequent showers. The showers will turn increasingly to sleet and snow especially during Friday night giving a covering in places.
The weekend remains cold, wintry showers continue in the east, chance of less cold conditions spreading back into the north west.
