Lorrimors post from last thread....
Overnight the mid-month period from GFS has ditched the Atlantic ridge option and gone for a southerly tracking jet, definitely cooler than of late and further snowfall for the north..will it return to a more blocked scenario later this evening???Latest update from EC32 (based on mean)
Ridge building into Canada from day 10 and Canada and western Greenland from around day 15 helps move the low pressure away from Greenland with the low pressure centring its self to the north of Scotland, extending through into Scandianvia and north eastern Europe. The ridge over Canada collapses towards the end of the run allowing low pressure to return to Greenland, very end of run shows UK in deep northerly trough.
