Weather models

Post by wittykitty » Tue Oct 23, 2012 8:31 pm

So far I've learned about:

T's - meaning the time ahead forecast
What 00/12z etc means

Can someone tell me the top say, 4 weather models used? People go on about how the GFS is more reliable etc. If someone could give me a (brief) explanation of each, then give me time to absorb it before I go into more detail.

I tend to learn things better in little bits, then ask more in-depth questions later :)
It's snowed so hard here I can't find where I parked my unicorn....
