RIP to the lady overboard on the QM II

Post #1 by danb1979 » Sat Dec 24, 2016 8:11 am

Sad to receive a FaceTime call from my parents last night telling us about the 74 year old lady, presumed overboard, on the QM II whilst on their way to the Caribbean...

The ship turned back to aid the searc, but stopped once it drew dark and has now carried on its original course...

A shi**y way to go and a terrible time for the family; obviously my folks said it was a somber environment on board, but then again, what can you do! :(

Does all sound a bit odd to me though, these ships are phenomenally safe and very hard for anyone to go overboard... Wonder if we'll find out if it was an accident or deliberate! My gut tells me the latter! :?

'Better at blocking out the light rather than letting it through..." As quoted by my father-in-law!
