My realistic hopes are for frequent blocking highs to dominate throughout the winter months, prefereably to the north of the UK bringing in a cold dry easterly wind, becomming more unstable as time goes on. If we can't have that I'll settle for high pressure to be sat over the UK with sunshine, frost and fog..pretty much anything away from a raging Atlantic bringining day after day of heavy rain and gales!
My gut feeling....Better than last year, yes there are going to be times where the Atlantic will dominate but i'm going for 2 noteable cold spells this year where last winter we just had the one.
